South Western Waters Regional Advisory Council
The South Western Waters RAC prepares and provides advice to the European Commission on the management of fisheries in South Western Waters - ICES areas VIII, IX and X (waters around Azores), and CECAF divisions 34.1.1, 34.1.2 and 34.2.0 (waters around Madeira and the Canary Islands). Seas At Risk is actively involved in the South Western Waters RAC; our representative is vice-chairman of the RAC and a member of several of its working groups.
