COP15 Copenhagen 2009

The United Nations Climate Change Summit (COP15) is taking place in Copenhagen from December 7-18th, and on this page you will find information and materials relating to Seas At Risk's work there on GHG emissions from shipping.

The Summit is meant to reach an agreement on actions and targets for the second (post-Kyoto Protocol) commitment period under the United Nation's Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Greenhouse gas emissions from shipping (and aviation) were left out of actions and targets for the first commitment period and Seas At Risk is working with others to try and ensure that they are included in the agreement for the second commitment period.
